There are certain dates and deadlines for the participant artists and they can be used as well to inform the public.
The overview of the schedule and the progress of ME AND THEM project:
November 2007
The idea of this project begun on the phone call conversations then followed on many interesting conversation on Yahoo Messenger between several people in Yogyakarta and in foreign countries who contribute and participate in ME AND THEM project.
December 2007
The deeper discussions and a lot of brainstorming between the artists and the contributor continued extensively through mailing list, Yahoo Messenger and Skype across the borders and time lines between the young emerging and well known Yogyakarta artists who currently live and work in Indonesia, Singapore, Finland, Netherlands, Germany, Australia and United States.
It started from basic idea, draft concept to all the detail and plans on how this project can be realized, organized and scheduled. How we bring and present the concept of ME AND THEM to the public.
The different artists embraced due to the ME AND THEM certain categories.
January 2008
One of the artist who live in both countries, Singapore and Germany took an initiative to start write and set the whole concept with all collected ideas, informations and discussions for this project proposal.
One of the artist who live in Yogyakarta booked the date for this project at Jogja National Museum.
Couple artist who live in other countries and in Indonesia with one of the contributor from Yogyakarta started to organized this project through the cyberspace crossing the edges, borders and time lines.
February 2008
The proposal is done and will be printed soon. Copies will be sent to several related targets.
Several participant artist who based in Yogyakarta initiated to make the 1st off-line meeting which will be scheduled in the middle of this month in Yogyakarta.
March 2008
Some artists who live in foreign countries will come to Indonesia.
2nd off-line meeting will be scheduled in Yogyakarta.
April 2008
Couple artist will start to design the poster, invitation card and the project catalogue.
Some artists who live in foreign countries will come to Indonesia.
3rd off-line meeting will be scheduled in Yogyakarta.
May 2008
Printed posters and invitation cards will be spread and sent as publication
4rd off-line meeting will be scheduled in Yogyakarta.
June 2008
The opening or the reception of this project exhibition will be held in Jogja National Museum. The project exhibition will be held approximately for 2 weeks.
We will provide the time for certain invited people to visit the exhibition rooms see the arts and meet all the participant artist for 2 days before the opening.
All the participant artist must set all their arts in the selected room or space on 4 days before the opening !
We provide a special day for talks and discussions between the participant artists and the public.
There will be a closing party for this project at Jogja National Museum.
July 2008
Photo documentation or even video documentation of this project will be uploaded on this weblog, on several internet sites such as flickr.com, facebook.com, myspace.com and might put on internet culture tv.
